Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals, and medical histories.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical equipment for daily use.
- Manage patient records electronically and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and communicate test results accurately.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Valid North Carolina Medical Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
