Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) on patients.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Draw blood and administer injections as directed by the provider.
- Manage patient records accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized examination room environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
