Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and medical history assessments accurately.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supplies.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Update and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and patient documentation.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with insurance companies.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a busy medical office or clinic.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
