Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications and perform basic phlebotomy (blood draws) as directed.
- Manage patient intake, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate patient referrals and provide clear instructions for follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or clinic setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy (HIPAA compliant).
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.
