Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration checks.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Handle patient intake, update medical records accurately, and verify insurance information.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage appointment scheduling.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and sterile techniques.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or MA certification preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician’s office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
