Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient intake and electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with lab services for specimen processing
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Arizona state medical assistant license
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Background check and drug screening required
