Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis, and assist in minor surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
- Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with specialists and other departments.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but we offer training for qualified candidates.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
