Your Role:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be the bridge between our patients and our clinical team. You will ensure that every patient feels welcomed, informed, and cared for while maintaining the highest standards of medical accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and electronic documentation accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and injections.
- Manage the daily flow of the clinic, including scheduling and reception duties.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment.
- Coordinate and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding health education and treatment plans.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting preferred.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely (up to 50lbs).
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
