What You’ll Do:
- Perform accurate vital signs, height, weight, and medical history collection for diverse patient populations.
- Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, and injections with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Maintain a sterile environment and prepare exam rooms with precision.
- Obtain and process laboratory specimens for analysis.
- Manage patient flow efficiently, including check-in, insurance verification, and scheduling.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a physician’s office or urgent care setting.
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work within the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment.
- Perform basic lab tests and point-of-care testing.
- Manage patient appointments and records.
- Provide patient education and support.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
- Valid BLS/ACLS certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic health records.
