Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals assessment, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature checks.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring equipment is sterilized and ready.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy) as directed.
- Manage patient records accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, diagnoses, and wellness plans.
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or registration (CCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
