Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient assessments, including measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Draw blood samples and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Manage patient records and ensure electronic health records (EHR) are updated accurately and confidentially.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient appointments and handle incoming inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
