Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures with precision
- Assist providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic, Cerner)
- Prepare and administer medications under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain sterile exam environments
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) or equivalent
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture and injection techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Flexibility for same-day shift assignments
