Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and maintain examination areas
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems
- Prepare and administer medications under provider supervision
- Handle sterilization of equipment and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Active Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic, NextGen)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
