Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history collection accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgical interventions.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by licensed physicians.
- Manage patient flow and provide exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Process insurance authorizations, referrals, and verify patient insurance eligibility.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is preferred.
- Current Arizona State License (if applicable to role).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the role.
