Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient intake, including medical history and vital signs assessment.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical equipment and sterilize instruments.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures accurately.
- Manage patient records electronically and handle front desk administrative duties.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.
