Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature monitoring.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and send accurate referral letters.
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure seamless patient flow and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
