Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and HIPAA compliance
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean exam rooms
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- New York State license to practice as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
