Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses in patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs measurement and EKG documentation
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms with sterile equipment
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Administer injections and collect lab specimens per protocols
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate telehealth visits
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- New York State medical assistant license
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
