Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate smooth clinical operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and recording medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including drawing blood and administering injections.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as directed.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
- Manage patient records electronically and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Order medical supplies and maintain inventory.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or similar certification preferred).
- CPR and BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
