Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical history and measuring vital signs.
- Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and administering injections as directed by providers.
- Manage patient records by accurately updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and assist with front desk reception duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
