Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign measurement, and preliminary health assessments
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical tasks
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per physician protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena Health preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure clinical environments
- Associate degree or certificate from accredited MA program
