Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and state MA certification (CMA/RMA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Valid Michigan driver's license (if travel between sites required)
