Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision and care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation and inventory control
- Administer medications and immunizations following established protocols
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient education materials
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterile environments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy proficiency
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
