Responsibilities
- Measure and record patient vital signs, weight, and height accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with exam gowns and drapes.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urine analysis, blood draws) following strict protocols.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical records and scheduling appointments.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Active Michigan State License to practice as a Medical Assistant.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but we offer training for the right candidates.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
