Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical history.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Prepare and administer medications under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Handle patient inquiries and coordinate appointments and referrals.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
