Responsibilities
- Clinical Duties: Assist physicians with patient examinations, take vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient intake, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and ensure proper specimen handling.
- Patient Interaction: Explain treatment plans, answer questions, and provide a welcoming environment for all patients.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock medical supplies and exam rooms to ensure smooth operations.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and HIPAA guidelines strictly.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
