Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify information, and prepare them for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during medical procedures and examinations.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis, and prepare specimens for the lab.
- Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, medical equipment, and reception areas.
- Admin: Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Communication: Answer phones, schedule appointments, and provide clear instructions to patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we provide paid on-the-job training for qualified candidates.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Technical: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR software.
