Responsibilities
- Greet and Register Patients: Welcome visitors in a friendly manner, verify patient information, and prepare them for examination.
- Assist with Exams: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist providers during patient visits.
- Vital Signs & Admin: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and manage electronic health records (EHR).
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Collect blood and other specimens for lab analysis following strict safety protocols.
- Patient Education: Provide basic health education and prepare patients for discharge.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and equipment.
- Phone Support: Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and route messages to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior medical experience required. Prior customer service or administrative experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain accurate records.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform basic medical procedures.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with computers and MS Office software.
