Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal and insurance information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with draping and positioning.
- Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and record them in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization of equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be willing to obtain CMA, RMA, or EMT certification within 6 months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate EHR systems.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
