Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures by taking vital signs, medical history, and updating patient charts.
- Administrative Support: Manage front desk duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing insurance verifications.
- Assisting Providers: Assist physicians and nurses during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisting with minor medical treatments under supervision.
- Inventory Management: Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Patient Communication: Educate patients on post-care instructions and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; we welcome enthusiastic learners.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Personality: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
