Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vitals, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain clean exam environments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Handle administrative tasks including appointment scheduling and billing
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical software
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid Texas medical assistant license (if applicable)
