Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and telehealth coordination
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient workflows
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work independently in remote settings
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or weekend shifts
