Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and supplies
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient scheduling, registration, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with medical billing and coding documentation
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) a plus but not required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
