Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and injections as per physician protocols
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) data entry and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Collect and process lab specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules
- Attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
- High school diploma or equivalent required
