Responsibilities
- Perform patient vital signs and preliminary health assessments
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer injections and medications per protocol
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Handle basic laboratory specimen collection
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Meditech)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts (6am-10pm)
- Washington DC state license required
