Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and collect specimens
- Administer injections and perform EKGs as directed
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Coordinate with insurance billing specialists
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
