Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations by providers.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care, appointments, and referrals.
- Assist with basic laboratory tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment for patients and staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education regarding treatments and medications.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
