Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including vitals, medical history review, and insurance verification.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic lab tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or MA (Medical Assistant) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
