Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and complete initial health assessments accurately.
- Clinical Duties: Assist providers during examinations, perform venipuncture (phlebotomy), and prepare patients for procedures.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and update medical records.
- Administrative Support: Manage appointment scheduling, process prescriptions, and handle front-desk reception duties.
- Infection Control: Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic medical terminology.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly to patients.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
