Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals checks, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight measurements.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Coordinate laboratory specimen collection and transport.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and check them in/out efficiently.
- Assist with office administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and handling phone inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
