Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history collection accurately.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Administer injections, perform basic lab tests, and assist with minor surgeries.
- Maintain and update accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Coordinate referrals, schedule appointments, and manage patient follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
