Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, injections, and vital sign monitoring
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a medical office setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
