Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by assisting with examination room setup and taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight).
  • Assist physicians during examinations by performing basic procedures and explaining treatment plans.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs, urinalysis, and blood draws, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
  • Manage patient records, updating medical histories and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR).
  • Coordinate patient schedules, answer phones, and manage front desk duties when necessary.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician, adhering to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required.
