Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately record patient histories and vital signs in EHR systems
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic lab tests per protocols
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current Pennsylvania MA certification (CMA/RMA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
