Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by escorting them to exam rooms and arranging necessary equipment.
- Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and record patient medical history.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Greet patients, answer phones, and manage front desk reception duties when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
