Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vital signs, EKGs, and injections
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and prepare examination rooms
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- State certification as Medical Assistant (CCMA or RMA)
