Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs and diagnostic tests (ECG, phlebotomy)
- Administer medications and immunizations per protocols
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation and HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with specialists for referrals
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong patient communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- North Carolina state license (if applicable)
- Background check and drug screening required
