Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and telemetry
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient vitals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Provide patient/family education on disease management and discharge protocols
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced emergency settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
