Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during diagnostic procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Assist with insurance verification and administrative documentation
- Support infection control protocols and maintain HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athenahealth preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Pennsylvania state license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
