Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and immunizations as per provider protocols
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Maintain sterile examination environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate from accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current MA certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
- Basic CPR/BLS certification
